I was just 2 years old when my parents shifted to Noida. Noida is a planned city that is a only part of the National Capital Region of India. The city came into existence on 17th April 1976 and every year since then this day is celebrated as Noida Day.
I am living in Noida from last 12 years. I still remember our old house where I spent 3 years of my life. Although I was very young at that time, I still have fond memories of my friends who lived in our neighbourhood.
We lived in rented accommodation for the first 3 years and then moved to our own flat in a society with all modern amenities. My school is just 3 km away from my house and my parents’ office is also close by.
Noida is known for its large malls and shopping complexes. People from other parts of Delhi and NCR especially visit these malls to have a good time with their family and friends. I have visited all these malls and enjoyed the fun time spent here. We used to go to these malls to watch movies, play games and have family dinners. Since last few months my parents have started allowing me to go to mall with friends though they pick me up from my house and drop me here. A visit to these malls is very exciting. I especially love playing different games like bowling and air hockey at these malls.
Noida is definitely a foodie’s delight. And Noida is a hub for delicious street food because of the many offices and educational institutions in the vicinity. All kinds of food items, from Lucknowi kebabs to Chinese momos – everything available here is very tasty.

I was born in the city of Lucknow. This is where my family and extended family live. Also I remember going for morning walk with grandpa where he used to narrate about his childhood experiences. And I can still smell the freshly prepared Kebab Parmans at the street stall in our neighborhood. I still remember weekend trips to the market with my parents. We shopped and ate together. We had so much fun doing that.

Lucknow is known for its markets, its scrumptious food and beautiful monuments. My favorite places in Lucknow are Imam Bara, Marine Drive, Hazrat Ganj Bazar and Bhootnath Bazar. Many memories of these places are fresh in my mind.
I have visited Imam Bara many times. The first time I visited this place with my parents was when I was very young. Few years later I visited this place as part of my school field trip. We also went to the place when my aunt and cousins ​​came to visit us. I go to Imam Bara again and again and still don’t get bored of it.
We often used to go to Marine Drive in the evening. The walk towards the river was very enjoyable. I loved shopping with my mother in Bhootnath and Hazratganj market. We both love shopping and used to buy variety of things which was really amazing.

I live in Chandigarh. I was born and brought up here and I love everything about this place. My city is the most beautiful in our country. It is one of the seven union territories in India and it is also the capital of both Punjab and Haryana.
History and origin of the city :
Chandigarh is the first planned city of India. It originated after independence. During the partition of India, Punjab was divided into two parts. The capital of Punjab, Lahore, was made a part of the newly formed Pakistan, leaving the other part of the state with no capital. Chandigarh was planned with the aim of giving capital to Punjab. In 1966 a new state was carved out of East Punjab. It came to be known as Haryana. The city of Chandigarh serves as the capital of Punjab and Haryana.

Chandigarh is known to be a well planned city. It is appreciated all over the world for its design and architecture. As it was the dream city of the then Indian Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. American architect Albert Mayer was specially asked to design it.
