I had often heard about Sonpur Fair, but I had never been there. Eighth year I went to a fair with my friends. We decided to cross the Ganges by boat. We reached Gandhi Ghat in the morning. And we saw many people waiting for the boat. We had to make our way through the crowd. With great difficulty we boarded a boat. After some time the boat opened. The boat was moving slowly. We started enjoying the view of the river bank. We were very happy with the music of the waves. After an hour we reached the other shore, got down and left for the fair. We walked about three miles. Then we reached the fair.

First of all we went to Hariharnath temple to worship. There was a lot of crowd near the temple. People were pushing each other. Entering the temple was a difficult task. They were brought to the fair to be sold. Then we went to the bird market. We saw different types of birds.
