Last months, I had the opportunity to watch a circus show and it was an incredible experience for me. This circus was set up in a large tent on the outskirts of town. The name of this circus show was ‘Circus ka hero’.
As I entered the circus with my friends, dazzling lights of different colors welcomed me. The actors were already on stage rehearsing their acts. I could see the acrobats jumping and jumping. Also Some tightrope walkers were balancing precariously and clowns were making the audience laugh with their antics.
The performance/show began with a grand entrance by the ringmaster, who welcomed the audience and introduced the first act. It was a spectacle of skill and courage. One of the highlights of the show was the aerial silks act, where a performer danced gracefully while hanging from silk ribbons. Another act that amazed me was the motorcycle stunt show, where riders performed death-defying stunts inside a steel cage.
The circus also featured a number of animal acts including elephants, horses and even a tiger. All the animals were well trained and the performers put on a number of really mesmerizing stunts.
The show ended with a grand finale, where all the actors came together for one last spectacular act/performance. The entire audience along with me was on its feet and cheering the artists by clapping.
Overall, this circus show was indeed an unforgettable experience for me, as the wild animal performances, the skill and dedication of the artistes were a sight to behold and I will cherish them forever. I would definitely recommend The Circus to anyone else watching.

The circus is a very popular form of entertainment in old days and when there were no computers, TV sets, mobile phones etc. People eagerly waited the arrival of a circus in their town or village. But today, the popularity of circus is decreasing due to the modern means of entertainment. People prefer staying at home and watching inovies, cartoons, sports and serials etc on their TV set rather than going to watch a circus & spending money.
But I like to see the circus even today. The acts performed by wild animals amuse me a lot. Being wild animals they still obey the commands of their master at once. The joker is also funny. The people who do various stunts like walking on a rope or performing various acts on hanging ropes are thrilling. Their co-ordination and practice are remarkable. I saw the famous Gemini circus on the Dussehra Day: All the people working in the circus were foreigners. It was being held at Azad maidan. There was a huge tent in the center and also few smaller tents surrounding it.

When I, along with my parents went inside, I was very frightened to see such a large crowd. My father was continuously holding my hand. The show began sharp at 6 O’clock, in the beginning the gymnasts came in. They were very fit and active. They amused the andience by dong various feats in the air. After the gymnasts two jokers came, without saying a word, they made us kings laugh hilariously through their actions. They performed a comic short story.
After the jokers, the horses came in they ran around the arena & the jockey did amusing beats feats. Then After this, the ringmaster entered with some lions. A circus is a place where wild animals and domestic animals perform under the command of their trainers. Athletes and clowns also perform many spectacular stunts in the circus. Last year during Diwali holidays, Jumbo Circus came to our city. I visited that circus with my friends.
My circus experience :
The circus people were setting up their tent in a big field outside the city. Out of curiosity, we had reached very early. Some tents were for animals, others for workers and a large canopy seemed to be for a circus performance. We reached the ground, bought our tickets and went and took our seats. The circus was attractive to people of all age groups and hence was very crowded. The tent was beautifully decorated and lighted. We could hear the roar of lions and the sounds of elephants.
The first performance of the program was by the clowns. They came with their own face paint, and their funny faces made the kids laugh a lot. Also his shouts and antics made everyone laugh. They made silly jokes and played such tricks on each other that we all laughed out loud. Then The next performance to be presented was gymnastics by young girls and boys. They performed amazingly swinging, exchanging swings and dancing all to the accompaniment of a band. One of the girls also danced on a steel wire holding an umbrella in her hand. This performance was highly appreciated by the audience.
Events in visit to a circus :
Then came the breath-taking performances. Six horses came and on their backs were five people dressed in red and yellow clothes and a girl dressed in beautiful clothes. The band danced in tune with the music. Then the riders got up and stood on the horse’s back and the horses started galloping. As they gallop, riders jump from horse to horse and do some flips in the air and come down on their feet in the saddle. It was an amazing performance. Then a trained elephant came. He sat down on a stool and saluted us with his trunk. He also stood up on his hind legs and began to tap along to the band’s tune.
Then a woman came and stood near the wooden plank. One man started throwing sharp daggers from all sides. She was not hurt and stood motionless, surrounded by daggers. This was followed by the feats of lions and tigers. A ringmaster came with a long whip in hand. The animals did everything as ordered by the ringmaster. He also led them through a huge ring of burning fire.
Conclusion :
It was a thrilling circus show. And It delighted all the onlookers. It was a pleasant evening for all of us and I was very sad when it all came to an end. The memories of the scenes are still fresh in my mind. Circus is not only a means of entertainment, but it is also connected with the emotions of the people.
