The day was 24rd june . We were on our way to leh. we were a group of 10 people. And We started from Patnitop in two jeeps. We were all college friends and leh ladakh was our ﬁrst trip together. That day morning at 5 am we started our journey and decided to spend our night in a place between Patnitop and Leh .

Slowly the sun shone brightly and the climate was pleasant. we started early because our driver told us that if we are late the bright sunlight will melt the glaciers and the level of water of the water crossings will go up which will lead to a huge problem. Gradually our jeeps kept crawling up the hills. we were mesmerized by the beauty of the road. On the left there were huge mountains and on the other side steep slope was present. As we moved up the temperature dropped and the place became more senic.

Another notable change was there which was that the color of the hills turned from green to white . vegetation was becoming thiner as well as the air. We stopped for lunch at 3 pm. Then continued our journey till the daylight gave way to the night. We stepped out of the vehicle and helped each other in setting up the tents. we were carrying ﬁve tents. It became even more dark silently. It was around 8 o, clock in the night we lighted ﬁre and sat encircling it. We were conversing with each other and at times our drivers were sharing their driving experiences over years on these treacherous terrains.

We also made up plans for the next day. It was around 9:17 pm when we completed our dinner and returned to our tents. The spot we chose for the night stay was a wide valley, which had mountains on every sides. Within hundred meters from where we had put our tents ﬂowed a river. The beauty of nature that I witnessed that day was incredible. My friends felt asleep. I was wide awake watching the hide and seek of the moon behind the huge mountains. Hello friends, today we will learn Hindi essay on the memorable day of my life. On the morning of April 4, 1999, I could not wake up early and found myself neglected. No one said good morning or namaste to me even after getting out of bed.

In the hostel of the government college, which has accommodation for two hundred students, no one thought of me while passing through the corridor. While it was going to be the most memorable day of my life. It all happened in such a way that I was neither a well-known spin bowler at that time, nor a talented batsman as I am now understood. I was just an ordinary cricketer at that time. Now I was moving down the corridor towards the room of Hariram, the captain of my college team.

Memorable Day of My Life Part 1 :

I received a brief notice that I had been selected as the eleventh player in the college team that day. My heart started pounding. I was ambitious for that and haven’t had an opportunity to perform well for a long time.

We had to play that day against the most powerful Minerva team in the city. We had no idea of our good performance. They batted first and declared their innings at 250 for six by lunch.

There was stormy batting from start to finish and countless fours and sixes were hit. Against the tight bowling of Mohan and Ram, our batsmen got out early and there was only a gap of some time left for our defeat. When our nine wickets fell, our run count was only 63.

Then I went to bat amid applause and taunts from some of my college teachers. I am generally very impatient. But a lot of strange events happened that day which made me feel very confident. Anything could happen in the match. And something else happened.

Ghosh, who was the tenth man, was a regular as well as a reliable batsman. He immediately sensed that I had come to the ground to make a big score. He gave me opportunities to bat again and again. I scored 13 runs in the first over which was an unexpected thing.

Then I went on scoring runs. Would you believe me, I hit 10 sixes and 23 fours. Runs were being scored at an extraordinary pace. By tea time I had scored 145 runs. Shortly before five o’clock we got the score of 251 runs and the match was over.

I was absolutely frantic. I had turned certain defeat into victory. There was a lot of applause for me, I was garlanded and I was taken in a procession to the hostel. I was proud and somewhat giddy. Maybe I tried to give a speech.

But at this gap of time, I do not remember properly whether I had thrown the ink pot at the superintendent or not? He added some other things to the complaint and said to the principal, but I remember that the principal told him to forget it by calling it the frenzy of victory.
